Longarm Quilting
The basic charge for computer guided edge to edge (overall) quilting is 2.5 cents per square inch.
To estimate your cost, multiply the length times the width of your quilt- then multiply by .025 L x W x .025 = cost of quilting
Minimum charge for quilting is $50. This is necessary on small quilts due to the time it takes to do the set up on the machine. I am happy to combine several smaller pieces such as placemats or table runners if they are quilted on the same backing.
Please prepare your quilt for the longarm. This includes having your backing assembled and square, all threads clipped, top and back pressed, and excessive batting trimmed. If you prefer- I am happy to do these things for you at my hourly rate- $25 per hour. Please visit the Tutorial Page (coming soon) for information on how to prepare your quilt for longer quilting.
I encourage my customers to come to my studio to choose their patterns and thread color. I don't like to limit my customers to a handful of patterns in a book. Pick up and drop off is also available at:
Shipping is available through USPS at current rates. I try to ship via flat rate Priority Mail whenever possible. Additional insurance is available.
Trimming and Binding services are billed by the actual time it takes at a rate of $30 per hour
Batting
I stock Quilters Dream 80/20 batting and Hobbs 80/20 batting. I can order other weights, bamboo, poly, wool, flame retardant and black batting. Email me for pricing.
You are also welcome to supply your own batting as long as it is cut to the proper size.
Payment and Billing
Billing is done via email. Payment is due upon delivery or pick up of your quilt. I currently accept checks or cash.
Turn Around Time
Generally four weeks or less. I don't believe in long wait times. This would not include quilts that need to allow for shipping time.
